LIVING IN THE DESERT {Tucson, Arizona} is different. We rarely see green grass in the front yards and back yards. It is often over 100 degrees F. {37 degrees C}, and everything burns up if we do not water it extensively. Here we have "Rock Gardens" cactus and sand in the front yard. Instead of mowing our grass, people get out in the morning, when it is a little cooler, and rake their front yard. So, when we see a flower-bed, it is usually well kept, because it is more precious. This flower is in a friend's garden, and we do not know what it is. It sure is beautiful though.
